Wakefield Concert Band Flute Choir
One of the band’s original small ensembles, the Flute Choir started playing Hallway Performances ahead of the Band Concerts in 2020. It had its formal debut on the concert in 2021, at the band’s Spring Concert. Comprised of a dozen flautists playing piccolo, soprano, alto and bass flutes, the Flute Choir has played a variety of venues in its six years. The ensemble has performed at the Taste of RI in South County, at WCB band concerts, South County Museum, and for retirement and Senior Living communities.
Wakefield Concert Band Clarinet Choir
Newly formed in 2024, the Clarinet Choir is comprised of clarinet, soprano clarinet, and bass clarinet. They have performed in many pre-concert performances.
Wakefield Concert Band Trombone Ensemble
Formed in 2021, the 6 member trombone ensemble, made up of trombones and bass trombones, first performed in the Hallway Performances in 2022. They have joined the Flute Choir to play jazz arrangements for the past 5 years at many Summer Concerts, and also have performed with the flutes at the Taste of RI in South County.
Wakefield Concert Band Dixieland Ramblers
Reminiscent of ‘New Orleans Jazz’ this small ensemble is comprised of clarinet, tenor sax, trumpet, trombone, tuba, banjo, and drum set, as well as a vocalist, has performed at WCB Band Concerts, at the Pump House, Scituate Summer Concert Series, the Taste of RI in South County, Senior living venues, and at local churches.
